Music Pop Update:

Beyonce:

• Beyonce dropped a new song, Lemonade (it aired on HBO, I can't find a link to the song yet).  But it is BIG, HUGE!  Apparently it outs Jay-Z for cheating on her!--you need to find it on i-tunes

Flo Rida:

• This is an older song, but is getting lots of air time...and who doesn't love a little Flo Rida?  My House

Fitz and the Tantrums:

• Remember this from last week??   HandClap, we're on top of it, it was in the new Fiat commercial.

Videos to watch Update:

• In honor of Prince (see update in 'random' if you don't know what I"m talking about), this has been floating around--the time he kicked Kim Kardashian off the stage.  

Make Ups/Break Ups/Hook Ups/Babies Update:

• Big rumors that Jay-Z (singer) cheated on Beyonce (singer) with Rachel Roy (not the chef, but a designer)
• Chrissy Teigen (model) had a baby girl last week with John Legend (singer).  Baby's name is Luna and she's a cutie 
• 
• Zac Efron (actor--High School Musical, anyone?) broke up with Sami Miro (model) 

Style Update

• I don't get this highlighter, but apparently it's all the rage...for unicorns?  Rainbow Highlighter

• In case you've really been out of touch, Prince (the artist formerly known as Prince?) died--at age 57
• Michael Strahan is leaving GMA, it apparently caused a riff between him and Kelly Ripa, she was mad she didn't know.  But apparently people are calling her out on social media saying she's a brat.

Trader Joe's Update

(Random, yes!  Needed, yes!  Since we have a new TJ that opened, I'll share my favorites)

• Tried the microwaveable brown rice.  We don't like it quite as much as the frozen PF Changs Rice, but it'll do

Fitz and the Tantrums:

• They were on Ellen with their song HandClap, it must mean they've made it, or are up and coming, right.  Ellen definitely keeps us up to date for the pop update! :)

• Have you gotten to watch the video of the brothers who tricked their sister into believing it was a zombie apocalypse.

• Just tied the Beatles for second most total weeks at number 1 with her song Work.  I don't get it...perhaps this shows my age?

Selena Gomez:

• Been hearing Selena's song a lot on the radio, good beat  Same Old Love

Lukas Graham

• A melancholy, somewhat sad song about life  7 Years

Videos to watch Update:

• Looking for more 15-20 minute videos to watch while riding the recumbant bike and eating cheez-its (oh, is that just me).  Check out John Oliver's show, his one on Televangelists was especially funny.  It can be politically charged, and leans a little left, so if you get offended may not be one you want to watch.
• Damn Daniel is trending, it's a short video of a guy videoing his stylish friend and saying, you guessed it, "damn, Daniel".  You know you're hip when you're on Ellen.

Make Ups/Break Ups/Hook Ups Update:

• Drew Barrymore (actress) is divorcing Will Koppelman (actor)
• Miley Cyrus (actress/singer) is reportedly back together with Liam Hemsworth (Gail from Hunger Games)
• Rob Kardashian (famous for being famous?) is dating Blac Chyna (exotic performer--no joke this is what wikipedia lists as her profession)--update, they're engaged and the Kardashians are not excited
• Anne Hathaway had a baby boy, Jonathan
• Rumors that Cameron Diaz is pregnant...she's wearing suspiciously baggy clothes

• Say it ain't so, midriffs are back in?  I could rock the short shirts back in 1999, but not anymore.

• Frozen mac and cheese.  Don't be fooled by the "light" version, it's only light because it is legitimately 50% less food (regular is 14 oz, light version is 7 oz).  Delicious nonetheless

New catchy song alert...No, although sad to say I'm a little past the prime to use this brush off at the bar tactic

Videos to watch Update:

• Carpool Karaoke from The Late Late Show.  James Corden (host) drives around with famous musicians, he interviews and they sing.  So entertaining.  Here's the link to them all. You're welcome.  A tip:  they are the perfect length so you can do some lunges/crunches while watching OR eat some ice cream.  Both acceptable! :)
• Taylor Swift and Apple have made up (last year she wrote an open letter telling Apple they need to pay their artists)  Here's a funny video of her using the service.  I still can't tell if it's her or a stunt double.  Comment below!

• Justin Bieber (singer) wants Selena Gomez (singer) back, she's apparently dating Charlie Puth (singer)
• Iggy Azalea (singer) was engaged to Nick Young (basketball player) but someone released a tape saying he cheated.  Jury is still out whether they broke up or are together
• Taylor Swift (singer) has been dating Calvin Harris (singer) for a whole year.
• Miranda Lambert (singer) is dating Anderson East (singer)
• Rob Kardashian (famous for being famous?) is dating Blac Chyna (exotic performer--no joke this is what wikipedia lists as her profession)

Style Update

• Good news, daily athletic wear is becoming a thing--known as Athleisure Wear.  Maybe you've seen Kate Hudson's Fabletics advertised on facebook (my sister has ordered it, pretty cute stuff).  Beyonce and Carrie Underwood are jumping on the wagon!

Shows to Binge Watch

• Each time I'll add a new one.  Some are over, some are seasons deep, but plenty to keep you watching.
• The first one to get me addicted to binge watching:  The Killing (beware you will not find out whodunnit until the end of Season 2)

Random Updates

• Lamar Odom (basketball player, Khloe Kardashian's husband) is back to drinking
• Von Miller is on dancing with the stars.  A bit stuff, but fun to watch.
• This is the last season of American Idol, finale is this week!
• They are making a full feature movie of Baywatch.  Due out May 19 of next year
